Full audit of two large data centres in London. Audit comprised of all floor mounted devices including PDU, CRACs and fire suppression equipment, Racks, floor standing storage/tape libraries, rack mounted devices including power strips and copper/fibre/telecoms panels and any peripheral equipment including blades and switch cards.
The physical on site audit comprised of a team of Project Manager, Quality Control Supervisor, 8 Auditors and population staff.
Data Collected: 663 Racks, 11,030 Rack Mounted Devices, 102 Floor Mounted Devices, 92 Cards/Blades.
The physical on site data collection was carried out over two consecutive weeks. The team worked to collect racks and floor mounted devices in the first sweep of the data centres and once these were validated and quality checked the team then went on to collect all rack mounted devices. Upon completion of the audit the data was used to validate BPs internal CMDB by cross referencing data collected during the audit against the CMDB data.
ING Bank - Rotterdam, Holland & Belgium
Full audit of 9 regional data centres in Rotterdam, Belgium and all over Holland. Audit comprised of all floor mounted devices including PDU, CRACs and fire suppression equipment, Racks, floor standing storage/tape libraries, rack mounted devices including power strips and copper/fibre/telecoms panels and any peripheral equipment including blades and switch cards. Additionally to this all security cameras, fire extinguishers & first aid points were also audited. The physical on site audit comprised of two teams made up of Project Manager, Quality Control Supervisor, 8 Auditors and population staff. There were two teams running consecutively for the main parts of the project, for smaller sites the teams were reduced for the required workload. The total duration of the data collection was 9 weeks and the population and validation process continued for a further 4 weeks. Data met the 99% SLA agreed on quality of data collected.
Data Collected: 3,374 Racks, 41,355 Rack Mounted Devices, 1,496 Floor Mounted Devices, 716 Blades.
Standard Bank South Africa - Johannesburg
Full audit of four main locations and nine separate data centres in Johannesburg. Audit comprised of all floor mounted devices including PDU, CRACs and fire suppression equipment, Racks, floor standing storage/tape libraries, rack mounted devices including power strips and copper/fibre/telecoms panels and any peripheral equipment including blades and switch cards. The physical on site audit comprised of a team of Project Manager, Quality Control Supervisor, 8 Auditors and population staff. The physical on site data collection was completed within two weeks and the population and validation completed within two weeks following the audit.
Data Collected: 757 Racks, 10,573 Rack Mounted Devices, 428 Floor Mounted Devices, 1,011 cards/blades, 1,424 Power strips.
